Summer Term 2024

In DT this term, Year 6 designed and created their very own air-raid shelters- linking to our HIstory topic World War 2. Once the children had completed their air raid shelter, we tested to see if it was water proof and could take weight, Miss Dillon poured a jug or water and a weight on top of them, Most of them were stable and un harmed. .

Please enjoy the moments captured on year 6' last sports day at St Annes.

Spring Term 24

In literacy this term, we have been reading and writing based on the book, Charlie and the Choclate Factory. One week, the children have to create their own unique sweet or chocolate that had a special function and create a speech advertising and persuading Mr Wonka to invest. The children presented their speeches brilliantly, we had a lot of fun.

In maths, year 6 have been learning to work systematically. To develop this, the children participated in an investigation where they had to match the symbols from different languages to the numerals. The children really enjoyed this and it was evident that they can work systematically.

A big shout out to the girls in year 6 who have won all of their football games and showed great team work. They will be playing in the Country Finals, we look forward to hearing all about it.

Autumn Term 2023

On the 25th September. Year 6 children went on their 5 day residential where they developed confidence, independence and conquered their fears. The staff and children had a fabulous time and hope you enjoy the photos.

Houses of Parliament Trip

Year 6 had an incredible experience, exploring London's historical locations: Elizabeth's Tower, Downing street, Horse Guards Parade and St James' Park. The children also had a tour around parliament including the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
