Earlier in summer 2, children role played in Literacy to gain understanding of how the farmers felt about The Iron Man (class text) eating and destroying their farming machinery. Children got into character in preparation for their newspaper report to understand what the purpose of a newspaper report is and the features.
On science day, children were dissecting a flower to understand the different parts of a flower using a magnifying class to observe what they see
In their music lessons, children were practising their samba drumming skills.
Spring Term 2024
In science, Year 3 have been super busy learning about rocks. On science day, we also investiagted the Vitruvian man thoey and tested whether Leonardo Di Vinci' theory was correct. The children in St Domninic's class have also been very creative, designing and making their own Bronze age jewellery.
Autumn Term 2023
Year Three have been busy making their skyscrapers. After looking at famous sky scrapers around the world, they designed their won models and then they worked very well cooperatively to build a model based on their group's ideas.
