Summer Term 2024
Year 4 have had a great summer term so far! We had a fantastic trip to Wisley Gardens to find out about rainforests and deserts for our geography topic. We also took cuttings of plants. In DT we made greenhouses to put the plants in. We loved coming to school in pyjamas and getting cosy with a book under the tables in the classroom. On Father’s Day, we had lots of fun making Whirlybirds and seeing how to make them fly more quickly.

Spring Term 2024
We had a great day at the Gordon Brown Centre where we learnt all about Saxons, built a shelter and made a fire. We also made our own shields and learnt battle formations.
Autumn Term 2023
History
We have been learning about the Romans, and were glad to have a Roman day where we could dress up. We made shields, practiced battle formations and investigated remains to find out what Romans would have eaten.
Computing
We enjoyed our ‘hour of code’ lesson where we made a sprite dance to our favourite tunes.
DT
In DT we researched and designed Roman coins and purses. Then we sewed our own decorated purses.
